Sage Oil Tools was originally founded as Sage Technologies, INC. by Russel Heinle in 1992. Bringing more than 40 years of energy industry experience, Mr. Heinle holds a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Texas A&M University and has held leadership positions at various technology companies and diagnostic services in Houston, Midland and Dallas.
Building on this extensive background, oil and gas producers and service companies have relied on Sage Technologies’ Acoustic Fluid Loggers for accurate data collected through countless fluid level surveys.
At the beginning of 2026, Sage Technologies entered a new chapter as leadership was successfully transitioned to the next generation. Under the leadership of Leo Anderson, the company now operates as Sage Oil Tools, INC.
